Club Atlético Rosario Central (), more commonly referred to as Rosario Central, is a sports club based in Rosario, Argentina, that plays in the Argentine Primera División. The club was officially founded on December 24, 1889, by a group of railway workers, taking its name from the British-owned Central Argentine Railway company. The Estadio Gigante de Arroyito () is a stadium in the city of Rosario, Santa Fe, Rosario, Argentina. Juan Enrique Hayes ( es, Juan Enrique Hayes, 20 January 1891 – 25 July 1976) was an Argentine footballer, who played his entire career for Rosario Central (where he spent 20 years). Colin Bain Calder (16 April 1860 – 25 January 1907) was the Scottish founder, and first president, of the Rosario Central football club (''Club Atlético Rosario Central'') in Argentina. First years Calder was born in Dingwall, Ross and Cromarty, in the Scottish Highlands. His middle name, Bain, was his mother's surname.
